Materials & Sustainability
We work with kiln-dried North American hardwoods—most often white oak, walnut, maple, ash, and cherry. “Kiln-dried” simply means the wood has been dried properly so your table stays flatter and steadier at home. Tops can pair with matching solid-wood bases or clean, powder-coated steel legs made by small U.S. fabricators. Finishes are low-VOC for safe use indoors. Choose a natural oil finish for a warm, matte feel you can refresh at home, or a clear sprayed finish for extra protection against spills and scratches.
Products & Lead Times
Our focus is the core pieces you use every day: dining tables, coffee and side tables, consoles, and work desks. Some sizes and finishes are kept in stock and usually ship within 1–2 business days. Made-to-order pieces generally take about 3–5 weeks depending on design and finishing. We build in small batches—around 20–40 pieces per month—so timelines stay realistic and quality stays consistent.
Real U.S. Suppliers
We buy wood and materials from well-known U.S. companies. Depending on the project and what’s available, we often source from names like Baillie Lumber, Rex Lumber, Northwest Hardwoods, Baird Brothers, Bell Forest Products, Hearne Hardwoods, and Frank Paxton Lumber (Paxton), as well as distributors of Weyerhaeuser products. Hardware and metal parts typically come through McMaster-Carr or Fastenal, and when we need precise metal cutting we use trusted networks such as SendCutSend or Xometry. If you’d like to know exactly which supplier your piece came from, ask us—we keep simple records for each batch and are happy to share them.
Build & Strength
We select boards that look good together and glue them into stable panels. Joints are reinforced where tables take the most stress. Hardware is set into the wood so you can assemble and re-assemble without wearing things out. Legs include discreet levelers so the table sits steady even on uneven floors. Our dining tables are designed for everyday family use—heavy dishes, laptops, kids’ projects—without wobbling or racking when paired with the right base.
Our Process — From Wood to Finished Piece
When the wood arrives, we tag each batch with its source and let it settle in our Austin shop. This simple pause lets the boards adjust to our workspace so they behave better later in your home.
We choose boards that belong together, matching color and grain so the tabletop feels like one calm surface. Then we cut parts to size so edges meet cleanly and legs line up in the right places.
We prepare every connection point with accurate machines so holes and hardware land exactly where they should. Before finishing, we do a full dry assembly—a quick dress rehearsal to confirm the piece sits square and steady.
Handwork comes next. We soften every edge so it’s comfortable to touch, stabilize small knots so they’re smooth, and sand the surfaces in stages until the tabletop feels even from corner to corner.
You choose the finish. A natural oil gives a warm, matte feel and can be refreshed at home with a simple kit. A clear protective finish adds extra defense against spills and daily wear while keeping the wood’s look visible. After finishing, we let the piece rest so it’s ready for real use.
Before packing, we run a final checklist: the top feels flat, the base feels balanced, the hardware threads in smoothly, and the finish looks even in natural light. We take a few photos and note the wood type, finish, and any special details so future care or matching is easy.
For shipping, we protect every part. Tops and bases are wrapped with foam and corner guards, and we include a clearly labeled hardware kit with the right driver. When it reaches you, assembly is straightforward—and the table is ready to work.
Custom Orders
Custom should feel simple. Tell us about your room and how you’ll use the piece. We’ll share quick sketches and basic drawings to agree on size, leg placement, and chair clearance. From there we confirm wood species, finish, edge shape, and any small details you want—stain matching, light carvings or inlays, desk grommets, or a matching bench. We hold 4–8 custom slots per month so we can give clear, honest timelines.
Packing & Delivery
Tops and bases are wrapped with foam and corner guards. Hardware and a clearly labeled tool go in a small kit so assembly is straightforward. We ship most orders within the U.S. by UPS, FedEx, or DHL with tracking; larger tables may go on a pallet for safer handling. In the Austin area, we can arrange scheduled delivery and room-of-choice placement if needed.
Care
Wipe spills when they happen and dust with a soft cloth. Use coasters or trivets for very hot items. Avoid long stretches of direct sun or high humidity. Oil-finished pieces can be refreshed about once a year with a simple wipe-on kit. For clear-coated pieces, use a gentle, non-silicone polish—no harsh cleaners. Real wood changes a little with time and light; that’s part of its natural character.
